About the company

Noble Entertainment was established in 2002 and is an independent film distributor on the Scandinavian market, with offices at Birger Jarlsgatan 41A in Stockholm, Sweden.

The Noble Entertainment film catalogue displays a wide range of genres, consisting of everything from Asian action and Japanese anime, to romantic comedies, TV-series, edgy documentaries and sophisticated drama. We release around 150 titles a year, and recent successes include award winners such as Chan-wook Parks ”Old Boy” (Grand Prix, Cannes 2004), ”The Woodsman” (starring Kevin Bacon and winner of Best Feature, London Film Festival 2004) and ”The Friedmans” (Oscar nominated, Best Documentary Feature 2003). At the moment were also particularly proud of French-produce ”Russian Doll”, and Danish ”Nynne”, romantic comedies which were blockbusters in their respective countries. South Korean horror movie ”A tale of two sisters” has also been a great success.

Initially, Noble Entertainment co-operated closely with Scanbox Sweden, but in spring 2006 we became a strong player of our own. Noble Entertainment now boasts a successful sales force, our own distribution and in-house production department. Currently, there are about 20 people working at Noble, and we are constantly looking for new creative minds to join the organisation. Through partnerships with Pan Vision (Denmark), Future Film (Finland and Norway) and Myndform (Iceland), our products are sold and distributed all over Scandinavia.

The future is looking bright for Noble Entertainment, as we continue to establish our position as one of the most interesting film companies in northern Europe. Where others hesitate, we see opportunities, and our goal is to expand and create new and interesting alternatives for film audiences on one of the toughest markets in the world.
